Season 2: Encounter at Fear Port
Fair Port
Fair Port is a bleak and run-down coastal town, perpetually shrouded in a thick, gray mist that seems to roll in from the overcast sea. The cobblestone streets are cracked and uneven, and the once colourful houses have faded to a grimy, weather-beaten gray. The town's architecture is haphazard and crumbling, with moss-covered roofs and rotting wooden supports.
Ep 1: At The Sign of the Slaughtered Lamb
The Slaughtered Lamb Tavern amidst the gloom of Fair Port stands "The Slaughtered Lamb." It's a grim and foreboding tavern that seems to have weathered countless storms and witnessed unspeakable horrors.
The tavern's exterior is a mishmash of rotting wood and peeling paint. The sign, a grotesque image of a bloodied, snarling wolf, creaks ominously in the ceaseless drizzle. A flickering lantern by the door casts eerie shadows that seem to dance with the ghosts of those who have come and gone.
The party took refuge inside the tavern but got a frosty reception from the bartender. On seeing the dwarves in the party he said, "We don't serve their type here."
There are various creepy items decorating the inn. The party take supper next to The Shattered Mirror in a secluded corner The glass shards are discoloured, and each shard reflected a different, unsettling image.
That night, Drongforth disappeared "On official wizarding business"
Ep. 2: Escape From The Witchfinder-General
The marketplace, if one can even call it that, is a dismal affair. Tattered awnings sag over dilapidated stalls, where vendors peddle meagre and rusted wares. The town square is a desolate expanse, with an old, corroded fountain at its centre, its waters murky and foul.
A teenage girl was being bundled towards a bonfire. Overseeing the proceedings was:
The Witchfinder-General, Sir Edmund Blackthorn.
"Witchcraft has no place in Fair Port, and I shall root it out!"
Assisting him are:
Grimwald the Gaunt
"Even the cleverest of witches leaves a trail."
Aldric the Silent
"Strength is the shield against the supernatural."
Elowen the Tracker
Ep. 3 Use the voice
Elara Ironheart
"The stars whisper secrets only I can hear."
Ep. 4 Horror of Fang Rock
Drongforth returned, now carrying around an inconveniently large mirror (the shattered mirror from the Slaughtered Lamb)
The party followed some clues and decided to investigate the lighthouse.
The deserted and run-down lighthouse on the outskirts of Fair Port stands atop Fang Rock as a haunting sentinel overlooking the tumultuous sea. This decaying structure, once a beacon of hope for sailors, has fallen into disrepair and neglect.
At the highest point of Fang Rock, where the cliffs are steepest and the winds most ferocious, stands the lighthouse. Perched atop a craggy promontory, the lighthouse is a solitary sentinel that commands a commanding view of the surrounding sea. Its position offers a clear line of sight for miles, making it an essential navigational aid for ships in the treacherous waters.
The former lighthouse keeper, is said to have disappeared without a trace many years ago, leaving behind only a journal filled with cryptic and increasingly desperate entries. His fate remains a mystery, and some believe that his spirit may still linger within the forsaken tower.
The shadows cease their dance and morph into grotesque entities. They defy natural laws, transcending the corporeal. Desperation tightens its grip. Tomorrow may herald the end. The Beacon of Fair Winds, once a sentinel against the abyss, falters against the very shadows that now consume me. I have locked the beacon in the vault. My only hope now is that Alric’s work comes to fruition and that the parts can be brought together. The Heart of Gold, The Globe of Truth, The Iris of Destiny. Beware the dark. Fear the night…
An object that they found in the basement of the lighthouse appeared to be the Globe of Truth.
Ep. 5 Cult of the Untempered Schism
The Party took refuge in a temple. Within they found monks from the Cult of the Untempered Schism. They are dinner and talked to the Dai Osho, the head of the order who told them that Alric is one of their order and was last known to reside at the old church. He granted them premission to use the temple library for research, and the party discovered that the untempered Schism is related to a dark wizard called Maudilus.

4. His grand folly, a ritual to pierce the Untempered Schism, lay sprawled upon a lectern of blackened oak, hewn from the bones of the ancient world.
Ep. 6 The Old Church
The once-grand structure now stands in disrepair, its stone walls weathered by time. Cobwebs drape across broken stained glass windows, casting eerie patterns of coloured light onto the dusty floor. The pews, once filled with devout worshipers, now lay in disarray, some smashed and others covered in a thick layer of dust.
The party left Elara in the safety of the Temple and made their way across town to the old church. they found Alric who told them that the Heart of Gold is stored in the crypt. The entrance to the crypt was inside a dilapidated graveyard. The party managed to retrieve the item. As they emerged from the crypt, they were ambushed by the three enforcers lead by the Witchfinder General. The party managed to put down all three enforcers but a stray arrow hit Drongforth's mirror releasing a dark wraith-like entity.
The shadow entity seemed to have considerable magical power and raised up skeletons from the graveyard to the party. The Witchfinder General fled. The party fought their way through the undead and made a tactical retreat themselves, returning to the safety of the temple.
Interlude: Apocalypse Now
A preternatural stillness settled over the ruins of the city. The only sound is the wind through the shattered arches and toppled statues, holds its breath. Dust motes hang frozen in the air, illuminated by the dying embers of twilight. Then, a scraping sound, like metal claws on aged stone, shattered the eerie silence. A section of the once-grand ziggurat in the city center crumbled inward, showering the plaza with a cascade of broken masonry.
From the dust cloud, a colossal eye, the size of a war drum and burning with an unnatural violet light, emerged. Attached to it was a grotesque, pulsating sphere of chitinous armor, studded with arcane sigils that pulsed with a faint blue luminescence.
Ep. 7 Trial of the Witchfinder-General
The party were summoned the the main hall. They smelled a rat and tried to make a run for it. They sneaked out and got to the front door only to be confronted by the three enforcers. They are escorted to the main hall. The Dai Osho enters but he looks different, his skin ashen but his eyes glowing. Grimwald the Gaunt addressed the assembled. "Rejoice for I bring great tidings! The Eye of Night, archwizard of the Royal Guild of Magic, high priest of the church of the untempered Schism, Maudilus the Undying"
Maudilus asked the party to hand over the Heart of Gold but they refused. He followed this up with the "Who are you not to be great" speech.
The Witchfinder General was lead into the great hall and a makeshift courtroom was set up with Maudilus presiding and the party invited to serve as jury alongside some of the senior monks.
Arguments were made in favour of the accused saying that he was merely enforcing the law of the land. The prosecutor made the case that his actions were immoral, with Elara appearing as a witness for the prosecution. The party voted. Result: Guilty
Ep. 8 New Horizons
Maudilus gave the party a map to the mysterious island of Mokomoko where he told them they will find powerful weapons. Elara and Zarathustra elected to stay in the temple, hoping to benefit from Maudilus's magical knowledge. However, the party decided leave and made their way to the docks. They were waylaid by thieves who steal the map. A chase ensued, Garet and Grok following the thief into a house. A brief skirmish broke out ending with the thief out cold on the floorboards and his accomplice flung through a window by Grok. Meanwhile, Drongforth was ambushed by vagabonds but they find them on the painful end of a thunderwave spell.
The party recovered the map and interrogated the thief. He introduced himself as Jack Wild, leader of the Wild Boys. He explained that he was hired by someone called the Silver Raven, in service of the Duchy of Aethelgard, sworn enemies of Maudilus who are positioning themselves to counter the growing threat posed by the return dark wizard. He gave them a silver token, marked with the three suns of Aethelgard, telling them that this will grant them safe passage into the city.
The party headed to the docks in search of passage to Aethelgard.
The party bought food and drink in "Elmore's Inn" and met the captain of "The Horizon's Reach", Captain Jenny Haddock.
The party boarded The Horizon's Reach as it set sail for Aethelgard where new adventures awaited them.
